RILEY MILLER
Riley Miller is currently in her first year attending the George Mason School of Dance, where she is pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts under the direction of Susan Shields. Originally from Houston, Texas, Riley competitively trained at EnRich Dance Company under the direction of Jana Brown Tyler from the beginning of her dance journey until this past year. She also attended Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts as a Dance Major, where she found a newfound love for conservatory dance training under the chairmanship of Janie Carothers and Courtney Jones.
Prior to attending college, Riley had the opportunity to be a teacher’s assistant under Dupree Dance Convention and a Senior Performance Company member of Tremaine Dance Convention. She was also a part of Rhythmic Souls Tap Company, where she performed in various tap dance performances and received extensive training under the direction of Meghan Way Stinson and Katelyn Harris. Riley continued to explore eclectic dance experiences over the years by attending multiple intensives including, but not limited to; the professional dance company Whirlwind’s pre-professional intensive under the mentorship of Joshua ManCulich, dance convention NYCDA’s pre-professional intensive hosted at PACE University and MODAS dance intensive where she had the opportunity to perform repertoire choreographed by Jennifer Archibald and Layla Amis.
As of now, Riley hopes to continue to explore artistry and knowledge in all of the meshing worlds of performance and choreography as she continues her studies in college as a Dance Major. She cannot wait to see what experiences await her in the future. Riley will perform Jessie’s work, DPRTRE7, at {254}DANCEFEST in Waco, TX this January.
