HANNAH COBURN

Hannah Coburn, born and raised in Missouri City, Texas, started her dance journey at Cynde Lomonte's Dance Dimensions. She grew up learning a wide range of styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Modern, Acrobatics, Improvisation, and Hip-Hop. During her high school years she competed and trained with the Ridge Point Royals Dance Team where she led the team as an officer in 2020. Following graduating high school, she went on to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Texas Tech University. During her four years there, she was able to perform in works by Melissa Brading, Kyla Olsen, Yvonne Racz, and Ali Duffy. She was also given the opportunity to attend ACDA in 2023 and 2024. Hannah was also given a scholarship to attend the NYC Jazz and Contemporary Intensive where she was able to meet and train under the direction of Michael Waldrop. Hannah will perform Jessie’s work, DPRTRE7, at {254}DANCEFEST in Waco, TX this January

Choreographically, Hannah enjoys teaching and creating for the youth around her including solos, duets/trios, and group/ensemble pieces. Her true passion is creating a space for people’s ideas to transpire into new works. As an instructor, Hannah is currently teaching at DanceWorks & Co in Missouri City, Texas. With this opportunity, she is able to mentor and provide a warm space for our youth to blossom. She has been able to choreograph multiple competition group dances and solos.
